BECOME AN EXPLORER HOST

Help Build Community Where You Live

Explorer Hosts are parents who help create connection through Kids Who Explore. Hosting is simple, flexible, and rooted in real family life. It is about gathering families in welcoming ways so no one feels alone in their journey outdoors. It is encouraged to join in our free networking and community programs online to help and hosts will have a chance to join in all of our online programming to connect more.

As an Explorer Host, you are not expected to teach, guide, or lead. You do not need certifications or outdoor credentials. You simply create space for families to meet, connect, and explore together in ways that feel natural to you. Sometimes that looks like a stroller walk on a familiar trail. Other times it is a park meetup, a forest wander, or a casual coffee connection.

Explorer Hosting is about presence, not performance. You choose a rhythm that works for your family, whether that is once a month or once every few months. Life comes first, always.

To support you, every Explorer Host receives access to the Explorer Host Handbook, a living guide designed to offer clarity, reassurance, and support as you build community. Inside, you will find guidance on hosting rhythms, planning simple meetups, inclusion and belonging, safety and shared responsibility, photography and consent, and what it looks like to gather in a way that feels sustainable and human.

By becoming an Explorer Host, you help families feel supported, confident, and connected to nature and each other. You help children grow up knowing the outdoors is a place where they belong.
