ABOUT THE EVENT
This 4.5-km loop near Kananaskis Improvement, Alberta, is one of Kat's absolute favourite hikes, and she can’t wait to share it with you!
It’s a moderately challenging trail that takes you up the side of a gorge to a stunning cirque with panoramic mountain views - it’s truly breathtaking at the top. We’ll begin at the far left side of the parking lot (heads up — signage isn’t great here, so I highly recommend downloading the trail map in advance!).
The trail climbs steadily along a narrow and sometimes unstable path, so please wear sturdy footwear and be prepared for a few steep and uneven sections. Once we reach the ridge, the trail can be a little hard to follow (but I’ve done this hike 5+ times and you are in good hands!), but the views are absolutely worth it.
