ABOUT THE EVENT
Can you believe this will be our 5th year hiking together at Starved Rock State Park? This is where it all began!
🥾 Join us as we explore Council Overhang, Ottawa Canyon, and Kaskaskia Canyon. This is an amazing trail for child-led adventure as it is well contained and has no stairs. If you've been around for a few years, I think you'll remember it fondly.
🥪 Our afternoon together will start with a picnic lunch at Lone Point Shelter just down the road from the trailhead at 12:00. Pack your favorite sandwiches and snacks! There are pit toilets at this location, don't forget to use them.
📍After lunch we will pack up and head to the Ottawa Canyon trailhead and meet up with anyone else who is joining us. We will hit the trail at 1:30. You'll be looking for parking lot number 27. If the lot is full…
