Invermere - Columbia Wetlands Meetup

The Columbia Wetlands Viewpoint Trail leads through open grassland and poplar groves to a viewpoint overlooking river channels and marshland south of Lake Windermere. The trail is flat with just a bit of down-and-up near the end. A bench at the overlook provides an excellent observation point for the Fairmont Ridgeline and the wetlands North of Fairmont Hot Springs.

Access the Hawke Road parking lot by driving South on Westside Road from Invermere, or North on Westside from Fairmont. The parking lot is on the West side of the road, the trailhead is on the East side of the road.

This trail is not stroller-friendly. This trail can be hot in the summertime, please be prepared for exposure.
