ABOUT THE EVENT
We'll be hiking the Scott's Branch trail at Patuxent River State Park for beautiful views of the river.
This is a 2.3 mile loop with some elevation gain (less than 300ft) and moderately challenging, single file portions. Older kids may be able to walk portions, but expect to carry younger kids. The trail is mostly shaded. There will be an opportunity for a quick 100ft detour to splash in the water if desired by the group.
We will meet at the Mullinix Mill parking lot off Mullinix Mill Road at 8am and take off on the trail by 8:15. We expect the loop to take a little over an hour.
