Join my 7 year old, 3 year old, husband Jaime, and me on this 3 mile roundtrip family hike at Dash Point State Park. Meet at the big parking lot near the beach. We'll hike through the forest along Thames Creek and up to Dash Point Highlands Park for a little playground play. My 3 year old might get a ride in the carrier at some point depending on energy levels. Optional beach play after the hike. Discover Pass required to display in vehicle.

Join my 7 year old, 3 year old, husband Jaime, and me on this fun-filled excursion. Join us for as much or as little as your time and family dynamics allow. I know long days can be challenging with little ones. Check admission prices online. Each family responsible for their own admission cost. Tram ride through free roaming area, hiking trails (including a fairy house loop), walking path through animal viewing areas, and Kids Trek nature-themed playground are all included in admission.
Puget Park to Les Davis Pier

Join my 3 year old and me on this 2.5 mile roundtrip hike to Les Davis Pier. We'll start at Puget Park, hike the switchbacks down to the forest floor and continue along the creek to Ruston Way. From there, we'll walk along the waterfront until we get to Les Davis Pier. There is a coffee shop at the pier for anyone wanting to buy a snack or beverage before heading back up to Puget Park. Option playground play after the hike at Puget Park.
Point Defiance Paved Loop

5 Mile Drive Gate (after Owen Beach turnoff)
Join my 3 year old and me for this 2.5 mile loop on a wide, paved path. Along this walk we will pass several viewpoints and keep an eye out for bald eagles, owls, raccoons, deer, and whales. Meet at the closed gate just after the Owen Beach turnoff. There is parking on the side of the road right near the closed gate.
Bresemann Forest Loop and Sprinker Playground

We'll have opportunities to check out the beach along the way and keep our eyes out for wildlife in the forest (deer, birds, etc) and out on the water (seals, crabs, etc). Discover Pass required.

Join my 3 year old and me on this 1.5 mile roundtrip flat, paved, stroll to Owen Beach and back. We'll start at the Point Defiance Marina and walk the promenade to Owen Beach. We often see jellyfish, seals, sea lions, bald eagles, and whales on this walk. Meet at the Point Defiance Marina. Optional playtime at the Point Defiance playground after the hike (just up the steps from the parking lot).
Tacoma Narrows Bridge Stroll

Join my 3 year old, 7 year old, husband Jaime, and me on this 2.5 mile roundtrip excursion onto the Tacoma Narrows Bridge! We will start at War Memorial Park and take the paved Scott Pierson Trail to the bridge and walk about halfway across before turning around to return to our cars. The path is downhill to get to the bridge, then uphill until our turn around point. The parking lot is called the Narrows Park & Ride, right next to War Memorial Park.

Halloween Stroll: Point Ruston to Les Davis Pier

Join my 3 year old and me for this paved, flat, Halloween Stroll from Point Ruston to Les Davis Pier. There is a coffee shop (Wide Awake Cafe) at the pier for anyone who wants a snack or drink before heading back to Point Ruston. Costumes encouraged, but not required. Join us however you are most comfortable. This is a stroller friendly walk with a distance of 3.5 miles roundtrip. Meet at the splash pad area above the playground.
